About Us
Mummy wanted to have a party for me and Cameron for our birthday. I asked if we could have a bouncy castle and Mummy said yes. On Sunday 5th June 2005 we had our joint birthday party in the Sports Centre. All my Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and friends were there. We had a cake with a picture of Me and Cameron on it! It was so much fun and we got hundreds of presents. Mummy said we would have to give some of our old toys to the charity shop so we would have room for our new ones!!
In August 2005 Mummy went back to work and I started my big nursery. It’s in the College where my Mummy works so we get to have our lunch together. Cameron didn’t like his nursery so he went to Granny Mary’s instead.
Mummy had holidays to use up so she took time off before Christmas. This was lucky because we all got a wee bug. Cameron was really sick on 17th December and Mummy took him to Yorkhill to get checked. They kept him for a couple of hours and said he was OK so he came home. We all got better before Christmas.
Christmas day was lots of fun. Me and Cameron got lots of presents. Santa brought us a Thomas the Tank Engine tent. He got me a bike and Cameron a Thomas the Tank Engine for riding on. Later on we went to Auntie Fiona’s and Uncle John’s to see Anna and Jonathon. We gave them presents and they gave us presents, it was fun. Then we went to Auntie Florence and Uncle Bert’s and we saw all our other cousins and Aunties and Uncles. We played a game with balls and a spiral thing like a helter skelter. Cameron loved it and was laughing so much he made everyone else laugh too.
On the Friday before New Year Uncle David, Auntie Tracey, Jodie and Kacie came down from Inverness. We all spent the evening in Granny Mary’s house. Auntie Anne, Uncle Sanchez, Damiene and Andrew were there too. They came up from London a couple of days before. Cameron was grumpy and Auntie Fiona asked if I wanted to stay over in her house to let Mummy and Daddy try to sleep. Mummy, Daddy and Cameron went home and we stayed to play for a while.
The next day Mummy phoned to say Cameron was sick and she was taking him to the hospital. Granny Mary and Granda Charlie went to the hospital to see them. Later all my Uncles and Aunties went to the hospital too and they were crying
My Mummy, Daddy and all the rest of the family came to Granny Mary’s house later on. Mummy and Daddy took me into the kitchen. They told me that Cameron had died. His heart had stopped working and this time the doctors couldn’t fix it. Mummy was crying and I told her it was OK, she still had me and my heart is strong. She said that made her feel better.
We had a funeral for Cameron and we let lots of balloons go up to heaven with pictures and letters for Cameron. I got a Thomas the Tank Engine balloon and an Incredibles balloon a couple of days later and sent them up to heaven from the cemetery. This is the place we go to when Mummy and Daddy want to think about Cameron. I like it because I can make up posies of flowers for Cameron and explore all round about.
I really miss Cameron but I say a special prayer for him every night and I have a big cuddly teddy called Cameron Bear who comes to bed with me.
